About Me

Main informations about me

I'm Curt Cato and a

Hi! My name is Curt Cato. I am a Web Developer, and before beginning my career in software development, I had a career in the commercial construction industry. I worked as a superintendent, supervising and managing multiple projects. After about a decade in the construction industry, I decided to make a change. I decided to enter the technology industry as a developer; something I had been contemplating for several years. This was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made, and I would not take it back for anything! The experience of learning software at Nashville Software School has been incredibly rewarding and challenging. I have always felt hardwired to think logically, so I feel as though this field is exactly right for me. I look forward to solving problems as a Software Developer for the rest of my career.

Some About my Abilities

As a construction supervisor for Habitat for Humanity, I gained plenty of experience working in teams, practicing leadership, patience, and problem solving. I continued to develop my skills in problem solving, management, team building as well as carrying the responsibility of planning, organizing, and completing jobs as a commercial construction superintendent. Problem solving has been a forte of mine for my entire professional career, and as a dev, many of these skills are directly applicable. I am one to take on a challenge. I strive to meet the needs of every project and to do the best I can for the team.
